Free Spirited yet Strong and Grounded
In the area of San Luis Obispo, CA there are almost a hundred hair salons. Egads, how can you find the right one for YOU? That’s totally up to you, of course, but we’d like to offer a tip: Check out Gypsy & Oak Salon. Because of exceptional customer service and expert techniques, this boutique hair salon has become a go to place in a few short years.
Megan Leonard and her team have put together a fun, cozy retreat where you can relax, socialize and be pampered with awesome hair styling. I mean, really, where else can you find hassocks in front of the chairs to rest your feet, while you sip on a nice cool drink?
What’s Unique About Gypsy & Oak
Megan’s listing of services is deceptively simple.
We offer haircuts for men and women, color, highlights, balayage, extensions, wedding and special occasion hair and makeup services.
Most hair salons have similar menus. Megan and her team stay on top of the latest styles and trends, using all-natural Davine products. What sets this place apart from the rest? They love what they do, they’re good at it, and they like to include you in the fun. Gypsy & Oak is a favorite of many even in such close quarters with several other salons. Aside from pampering inside, ample free parking on the outside might have something to do with that.
Small town SLO CAL lies smack in the middle of wine country and is jammed with resorts. Gypsy & Oak is just as laid back and a little bit quirky, to match the local attitude. From the bubble gum wall to Cal Poly to the historic missions district to the growing arts community, San Luis Obispo is definitely not boring. There’s always something to do (and opportunities to get into mischief.
Growing Out a Pixie Cut
Did you ever lock yourself in the bathroom and cut your bangs when you were little? Probably most of us have done that, and maybe even cut off a little more. Now that we’re considered more grown up, we indulge ourselves with periodic visits to our favorite hairdressers. Sometimes it’s because we haven’t the time to do it ourselves, but mostly it’s because we like to relax and let someone else take over.
Megan has always loved all things beauty and fashion. Right after high school, she started Cosmetology School, intending to take care of people and be her own boss. She’s been a hairstylist for 13 years now, and is truly living her dream.
Hair has always been my career! During Cosmetology School and while building a clientele, I worked in restaurants and coffee shops. I’m full time in my business now, and it’s so much fun!
