Meet Lindsay, of Lillian Ann Interiors!  I had the pleasure of working with Lindsay on her brand — Lily & Jeff worked with her on her website design!  Lindsay and I knew each other from our high school days, so it was even more awesome to be able to work with someone from back home.

Lillian Ann Interiors is based in Atlanta, but Lindsay also does work back home, on the Space Coast in Central Florida.

Tell us a bit about how you got started with your business / blog / venture that we branded.

I have always had a creative mind… and since I was little, I always wanted to be a “Decorator”.
So I interned at a local shop in my small town. Once I graduated I looked into many art schools to follow my passion for Interior Design.

Once I graduated with my bachelor of Interior Design, I landed my first job with now celebrity designer, Anne Rue, at Anne Rue Interiors. Anne really shaped me as a designer. She taught me how to manage a project from start to finish. She really was a big impact on my career. She is also a designer I will always look up to and a inspiration for Women making a career for themselves!

Once I married, I moved to Atlanta to follow my husbands career. This was literally during the economy down turn in 2008. I struggled finding a job, making new friends. So I started working at Anthropology to keep myself busy. I worked here for about 2 years. During my time at anthropology, I created many of their window displays. This was fun, and a creative outlet for me.

One day (2010) , I got a call from my husband co-worker, who needed design help. I jumped on it and was too excited. Then I received another call… and was ecstatic! This is when Lillian Ann Interiors was born! It was like a door opened and I finally felt like Atlanta was a home. Again, if I didn’t work with the people prior in my life, I don’t know if I would be where I am today! They really molded me to be great at what they knew I was good at.

 

What products or services do you offer?

Interior Design Services, Furnishings and Accessories at my Local Store within Westside Connection.

 

What’s the best advice you have for someone that is interested in doing something similar to you?

Network! create a family of people around yourself to be a sounding board!

And don’t doubt yourself of what you can really do!

 

Tell our readers a bit about the branding process!

I had been looking at Autumn Lane Paperie company for a bit before I enlisted them to help me. I loved everything about their own personal brand and image. I knew when the time came for me to create my new brand and website, that I would be contacting them immediately. I just had to wait for the right moment, and that was when I was opening my new retail space!

I told them what I needed, what I liked and what I was trying to achieve… and her team created MAGIC! It was the most simple and the easiest process ever! Which took so much stress off of me as I was trying to open my retail space!

I never had a doubt in my mind about choosing them to create my brand. I knew they were perfect for my boutique brand business!

 

What does the future hold for you?

Ah.. the future!
I hope that this is just the beginning of even bigger things.
My goal was to open a small shop (which I did at Upper Westside Connection. Here you rent your space and they sell your product for you.. so I don’t have those retail hours while I have small children).

My next goal (after my kids enter grade school) is to open my Own Personal Retail store with design services. As well as an online shop!
