We’re happy to introduce you to Debrah, of Martha’s Flowers & Gifts, based in Juneau, Alaska!
Tell us a bit about how you got started with your business / blog / venture that we branded.
My business is a family owned business that has been operating in my city for over 45 years. Opened by our namesake Martha who was my grandmother. She passed away when I was a senior in high school…18 years ago. There I go I’ve dated myself. I worked alongside my own mother just as my mother did all through my childhood and well into my adulthood. Until, I moved away & got married. All the while I’ve NEVER MISSED A VALENTINE’S DAY at our flower shop. haha. I always scheduled time off my real jobs and flew back- no matter how far- to design for the holiday. After I got married, eventually I got pregnant. My husband and I moved back shortly after we found out we were expecting so we could have the flexibility to have our child with us pretty much all of the time. We have been the owners of the business for almost 3 years now and I couldn’t be happier to share this legacy with my own daughter.
What products or services do you offer?
I am a flower shop and gift shop.
Tell our readers a bit about the branding process!
I found Autumn Lane on Etsy when planning a move back to my home town of Juneau, AK to take over my family’s floral business. I initially had a premade logo that we loved but after a couple years we wanted something custom and unique to our brand. We are Alaskanflorist on social media platforms so I explained my vision and it wasn’t 2 emails in and Lily had absolutely NAILED IT. She was professional, well spoken and patient while we navigated long distance. Thank you so so so much for a logo that is truly a work of art.
What does the future hold for you?
I haven’t a clue!
