Meet Jennifer, from Stitched Chic!
Tell us a bit about how you got started with your business / blog / venture that we branded.
My journey started when I was introduced to modern sewing through a blog. I immediately took an interest, and after much research on the topic, I decided to teach myself how to sew, make quilts, garments and lots of other fun items. After making many things for friends and family, I decided I wanted to share my creations with the world. That’s when Stitched Chic was born. Sewing has become a part of me, and I am very passionate about it. I hope I can inspire others to follow their inner creative side and go after a goal that makes them feel complete.
What products or services do you offer?
I sell modern quilting fabric, modern handmade quilts, and tote bags.
What’s the best advice you have for someone that is interested in doing something similar to you?
When your dream seems so far out of reach, have the courage always to be true to yourself and go after what you want in full force. There will always be the element of the unknown when starting anything new. While that factor can usually seem scary, still go with your gut instinct and be sure to follow your heart.
Tell our readers a bit about the branding process!
I initially had a logo, and there was a component of that logo that I was partial to. I asked that my old logo be used as inspiration towards a new and more upbeat one. Lily not only used it for inspiration, but she nailed it. My logo and sub-logos are beautiful. My coinciding branding is also impressive. They allowed me to take my website from just mediocre to one that looks professional, modern, hip and exciting. I did not feel the decision-making process was complicated. I had an idea of what I wanted, and I tried my best to convey that very clearly. I believe the process will run very smoothly provided the customer can communicate effectively and plays a role in the entire process.
What does the future hold for you?
I am hopeful that my future will be filled with lots of sales and lots of happy customers loving my work. 🙂
