Premade vs. Custom Logos – What do I choose?

One of the commonly asked questions we get is, “Which logo offering is best for me?” We’re going to break it down for you!
In a nutshell, we offer over 1,000 carefully & thoughtfully designed premade logos priced at $17 USD in our Premade Market. We include a variety of file types that may be used for print + web applications — essentially, everything that you’ll need it for! Premade logos are usually ready within 1-2 business days, if not sooner. The reason we can process them so quickly is twofold — first, we have an amazing premade logo queen, Barb, who handles all of the premade + sublogo orders! Second, they process so quickly because all of the design work has already been done — we simply adjust the business name + subtext/tagline to be reflective of your own, and bam! It’s done! Easy peasy!
It’s even easier these days since we added a massively handy sorting tool that allows you to choose graphic options, colors, and more. The filter is stackable — meaning, you can choose a variety of options all together and have all of the results come up at once. So, if you have a broad idea, you can check as many boxes as you like…or if you know you want something specific, as few boxes as you need!
Is it unique or one of a kind?
Premade logos are resold, so they are not one of a kind! They are, however, unique to your business name provided that you don’t share the same name with another company!
Do you allow for changes?
We allow for limited changes with premade logos — font changes + text color changes are totally a go for us, but any other modifications will qualify as a custom logo order.

Our custom work is a bit different than premade logo. Our custom logo option is $135 USD, and we pair it with a variety of options for a Build Your Own Branding Package set-up. Here at ALP, we listen to our clients’ every needs, and we’ve decided to skip the one-size-fits-all branding packages in favor of helping you with exactly what you need. This means you pay for only what you need, and nothing that you don’t need or aren’t sure that you’ll need down the road. We’ve designed this package to maximize savings whenever you add more additional materials to your cart, so that you’ll realize some really awesome discounts.
Custom logo design is truly a collaborative process with our clients — we get to pair the best of both worlds when it comes to our clients’ wishes and ideas with our expertise and design knowledge. Lily, our gifted graphic designer, and I (Beck) handle custom orders. Our process begins with a questionnaire in which we gather up important information related to your business and your future brand. This enables us to develop concepts for you, and present these ideas to you for feedback and potential adjustments. Once we feel that we’ve got a solid direction, we’ll begin the design work. The custom logo process — in a perfect world, of course — takes about 2-3 weeks. We include revisions in your purchase to ensure that the finalized logo is just as you’d imagined it.

Yes — custom logos are unique to you. We start with a blank “canvas” for custom logos, and design based upon our professional knowledge and your input from the logo questionnaire.
Do you allow for changes?
Yes, of course! We initially present four different proofs to you, and we have revision rounds built into our packages for refining and perfecting your logo. Fine-tuning and small details put the finishing touches on your new look.
