What exactly is good logo design?
Good logo design is what makes your logo a memorable mark for your audience & is instantly recognizable when they see it. Period. But that doesn’t answer the question of what is good logo design?
The technical side of it requires artwork that can be scaled up or down as needed & without loss of quality to achieve different needs like printing on business cards, clothes, signage, etc. Design industry standard software for this makes it fairly easy to do this but all designers don’t use the same (or industry standard) software.
On the more emotional level, it’s something that needs to be a compromise between what the client loves and what the client’s audience can relate to when they see the logo. Some things are a little too esoteric to put into a logo & should be left out of the logo design but can perhaps be used in other places, like a blog post or a page that describes the journey that the client has had to arrive at that specific point in their life.
What else contributes to good logo design? There are designers that only work in specific industries & they are without question the experts in the design field for their niche but when you work with clients from all over the world & in so many different areas like we do at Autumn Lane, good logo design means we listen to what matters in your particular industry & to you, specifically. We’ve completed thousands of projects for almost as many clients & we’ve developed a sense of what works with different target markets & we can take input from our client, pair it with our experiences on what’s been well-received, & create the perfect logo for our clients.
We’re a family business just like most of our clients & we take great pride in helping out people just like us from all over the world. We’d love to chat with you about your logo needs!
